DCRUST and JMU

Deenbandu Chhotu Ram Univeristy of Science and Technology and James Madison University

In the Fall of 2016, under the support of a Fulbright scholarship, Dr. Temple traveled to Murthal, India to continue a collaborative research effort between the local university and JMU. Dr. Temple focused on intensive training in bioinformatics for 50 students, while sharing a dual model of education and research. Students focused on screening for antibiotics. The student body occasionally corresponded with students from Dr. Temple's home university (JMU) to discuss the struggles they faced in their research. The students at DCRUST were both surprised and relieved that their peers half way across the globe were facing similar challenges in their research.
